what to do when morale is low
i can't get out of low morale. I think it needs to be rebalanced, i fear once you are too low you can't possibly get back up...

If your character does not have a very high intellect stat, a sacrifice to the gods will give you a strong morale boost of 20 points (you can only do this once in each chapter). Otherwise, use the leisure activities in camp.

of course i have done that, during the chartago campaign i couldn't recover for the whole duration, and it forced me to skip useful training and spam the leisure activities without success. The issue has to do because i think there might some negative effects on most rolls in events, that fires a vicious cycle that can't be broken, since you end up loosing morale from every event. Somehow i managed to bring it back to average with struggle during the macedonian campaign but ended up dying soon after.
Also i feel late game there are too many events and it's almost frustrating.

While morale is supposed to affect rolls, outside of combat I simply can't confirm it in my experience. Best way to not get low morale is to not get into overtraining stress and mass murder your enemies in battles or foraging minigame ambushes. "having fun" twice is 9 morale each chapter, sacrifice is another 4/20. On top of that add all morale bonuses from playing die/board/ambushes and you are pretty much golden.

Switching up what you train also helps reduce morale loss. Dont just spam sword training over and over, throw in some gym time or running every few clicks.

Tbh sword/shield is worth it getting into -3 stress if you are still under softcap. Jav/workout not so much.

You have 6 stress free rolls total each chapter(well, 5 after camp raid...):
- 2 for javelin
- 2 for all workout
- 2 for spars/solo practice

This is especially important after some consecutive training failures. The more often your legionary fails to improve when training the same skills/stats, the more quickly he will build up over-exercise stress.

Are you making sure you dont have overworkout stress?
