What is the Highest Rank you can get?
Salve!

I've put around 5 hrs into the game and I am enjoying it very much so far! it really shows you've done a lot of research into Roman tactics and command structures. and you've very cleverly implemented the rotation system. The farthest i've made it was into the invasion of Africa and re-enlisted, eventually making it to the rank of rear Centurion. Presumably you could reach the rank of front centurion, but is it possible to go further in the command structure? What is the "Max" rank you can get? Since I haven't made it too far in the game, I am curious!

Thank you, I'm very pleased you noticed.

You guessed right. The highest rank you can reach in the playable part is that of senior centurion of the maniple (Centurio Prior).

After the end of the game, if your overall popularity is very high, you will be elected Primus Centurio (what later became Centurio Primi Pili or Primus Pilus) when you join the army again in the Triarii years later. That part is not playable, but you get bonus points if it happens.

Cool! Wish we could have played as a Triarii tho, but thats alright. Hope we can get our hands in that final release sooner than later. (:

When I began designing the game two years ago, I planned to include the Roman-Seleucid war as a playable campaign with the main character as a triarius, but the the lack of suitable action and the implied different mechanics made me discard the idea eventually.

The use of your Phalanx Mechanics comes to mind.
Have your battlefield "character" become a group. Other groups can join like how legionaries do earlier in the game.

🤔After the Triarii promotion, the U.I would have to be redone and a separate buy/sell pool for Unit Upgrades to have things to spend money on, training is now legion training, etc, etc.

It'd pretty much be a whole other game.
Definitely a lot of work especially since it'd pretty much be copy, pasting, and editing what you already have and then figuring out how to make it switch over.

V2.0😅

I would actually REALLY love this idea, and long term make it some kind of conquest game. If someone could mod it or recreate it to be the same game inherently, but a global conquest type, I'd definitely purchase. Or even if the developer did it.
