is it common to find the last piece doesnt fit?

3 puzzles now, I reach for the last piece and find ts wrong and doesnt fit.

But, once I exit and go back to the puzzle menu its show as 2 pieces needed to complete

so I re-enter it and I see that the piece has changed and suddenly the piece that didnt fit before now does.

Is this a bug?

This is not a bug. You had one piece lying in the wrong place..That's why you had two pieces after you exited

Instead of exiting, do "clear board"

no i didnt, I checked EVERY piece.

Ill try clear board next time too.

I've had that happen to me. It seems that every piece is in its place. But after cleaning, one piece flies into the tray (On exiting, the board is also cleared of the wrong pieces).

CLEAR BOARD or HIGHLIGHT helps

Happened to me a couple of times, so not common, but not unheard of. I'd agree with N.G.

What works for me is "clear board" and then "shuffle". Been quite a few times where a piece will be behind the menu tags on the right side.
All pieces are always there, just need to make them visible.
Another thing too, if your piece doesn't "fit", cycle through the background colors (c) quickly and you'll usually see the other empty spot it goes in.
