How Does Buying Buildings Work?
One thing that has me confused is why I can build certain structures at one fort while I cannot build them at the other, and it's not because I have them already. Is it because certain buildings like Distilleries and Bakeries can only be made once? The text "This fort doesn't have one" implies that I can make more than one at each fort.

From what I've noticed you can only build 1 of each type in a given fort. I tried making multiple smithies in one fort and it would not let me, thus the only way to progress with weapons/armor is to rebuild more forts.

Problem is I cannot build any bakeries or mills at the first fort, but I can build a Distillery--which wouldn't do me any good since it needs a mill to generate gold.

Are you sure you have the required materials to build it? I didn't have trouble building 1 of each building in my first fort. Though I do remember having to wait a bit on the mill as it needed 5 stone and I was out at the time.

I went to the other fort and I could afford it as well as a bunch of other buildings that were greyed out at the other place.

Look at your stone supply and the stone requirements. You do not have the stone to build it. Maybe what you have found is a bug where it is properly grayed out on one fort but is improperly highlighted at another?

Keep in mind that this image is AFTER I got the distillery at the other place.

Brian, you don't have enough materials to buy a bakery or mill. You do have enough materials to buy a distillery. From what I can understand, you can buy one of each building at each fort. But you need the materials to do so.

If you look at the math again by adding back the costs for the distillery, you would see I would have more than enough for either one.

Hmm. If they were still grayed out when you had more stone I'm not sure what the problem is. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to (a) acquire two more stone, (b) verify that you are sure you still cannot buy either one even though you are at a fort that doesn't contain them, (c) generate a save file that allows the dev to reproduce and send it to them via their support email.

Brian, could you contact us at support@spiderwebsoftware.com? I'd like to help work this out.

I tried recreating it, and the save file now works the way it should, so I'm not sure if that helps. At least with the old saves that I had left from several hours ago.

Thanks for letting me know. I looked at the code and didn't see any problems right away. I'll keep a very close watch for other instances of the bug and see if I can find a way to reproduce it.

I thought it might have been an upkeep safeguard, but another tooltip pop-uped to inform me that if you don't have the materials you just buy the rest with gold.
