CRASHES AND NO AUDIO (Fixed). Edit: I gave up on finding a fix, I am sorry
GUESS WHAT! THERE IS NO FIX, NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FIX FOR THE PAST 4 MOTHS OF ME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! BUT AT LEAST THE CLICKBAIT TITLE MIGHT ATTRACT SOMEONE WHO HAS A SOLUTION

A quick rundown of my problems: Default game crashes, Ori runs for a while and then an error that is too fast to be read pops up, that has been the case for several moths now. A few months ago this had a solution called Beta Patch 1, which ran wonderfully, never even had a glitch as far as I remember.
Anyway, come update 3.0 and 3.1 (which has a white screen crash instead) and Patch 1 is no longer a thing. It just doesn't exist anymore. Now my options are only Update 3.1 and Beta Patch 2

As I said, I cannot get past the White Screen in 3.1 (Although I did manage to hear some music and see the Xbox logo a couple of times)

The reason I didn't use Beta Patch 2 before is because there is no sound (when it decides to not crash on startup)

Now here is what I know:
Ori is a microsoft game, therefore, just like Gears Of War 5 or Forza, there is some bullshittery involving the sound. Specifically the sound sampling. If you open your current sound system in Sound Control Panel, look at it's properties and go Advanced, you will find several options for the sound sampling. IF IT IS OF A LOWER QUALITY THAN 48 kHz THE GAME WILL CRASH ON STARTUP! (This is particularly annoying when you then try to switch to a game like Doom Eternal, where sound glitches above 44.1khz)

Realtek sound systems might be causing the problem, but when I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the drivers I only managed to disable all sound.

HDMI SOUND DRIVERS ARE NOT A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OPTION, NOR IS A BLUETOOTH HEADSET (Besides, my Screen doesn't have an audio jack, and Bluetooth headphones don't work either)

Patch 2 also tends to launch successfully only the one first time I try it. Any subsequent launch will result in a crash which can be fixed by restarting steam... for some bizarre reason.

There is also a crash whenever I exit the game, and the game always launches in windowed mode even after I change the settings, unless I specifically tell it not to through Nvidia Geforce Experience optimization.

Yes, I did try to launch the game as Admin of course.

No, I will not disable my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ antivirus (I have the default Windows Defender thing, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moneyscam)

Yes, Validating the files was the first thing I did of course, on all patches several times over in fact.

No, the game is not muted in the volume mixer

No other game has ever had this problem on my computer

I asked for help several times now, I'm hoping for someone to have at least an idea of what the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong. I can't believe that after half a year the game is still in an unplayable state. Especially since the earliest patch worked fine.

Here are my specs (Although they really shouldn't matter since the GAME RAN FINE IN PATCH 1):

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Pentium G4400 @ 3.30GHz 20 °C
Skylake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz (16-18-18-39)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H110-D3A-CF (U3E1) 27 °C
Graphics
DELL P2719H (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (EVGA) 38 °C

Edit: Corrected my "MegaHertz" mistake

Final Edit: For some reason we can't mark our own comments as answers, anyway, I'm done with this, read my last post if you want more info.

Try asking for direct help on feedback@moongamestudios.com with your dxdiag file and ori log file.

For the sound sampling, it might be some glitch for your mainboard/drivers or other hardware/software you have installed/running on your system. I am using 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz in this game (as well as in all other games) with no problems.

Are you using one of the official mainboard manufacturer drivers from here?

Exactly the same here!

I am really pissed!!!
WHY? WHY this piece of ♥♥♥♥ Unity? I DON'T get it and never will!
Permanently the most problems I have are with games, made with this ♥♥♥♥ Unity crap!

Why not Unreal Engine?
I think even the free Godot Engine would be better!

I saw multiple people on multiple forums saying that Ori and the Will of the Wisps, alongside some other games, tend to crash on startup whenever the sampling is lower than 48kHz. Which I did confirm on my pc as well. As for the drivers, I will check and try to reinstall different ones again

I'm trying. Changing the drivers didn't help me btw.

So tweaking this sound sampling rate not fixed it for you and you still have this issue?

Two people said the issue of "Ori running then black screen happening" was solved for them with installing "msvcp140.dll" system file. I have no idea how to install this one system file, but I Googled it and it should be part of 'Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 redistributable package'. So it looks you can try to download and install it from Microsoft website:

Here come the final bad news. I didn't solve it, and I never will. There doesn't seem to be anything software-wise that one can do to fix this issue anymore (even though... Beta patch 1 ffs)

Anyway, What I did was buy a new motherboard and a better CPU. An Intel Core i5-9400 to be precise. The game runs fine now (Although it still crashes upon exit)

I'm guessing having more cores fixed the issue?

Anyway, Even though I would definitely recommend you guys to buy yourself a better CPU, this is by no means a fix, the fact that someone can have minimal requirements and not be able to launch the game is still a massive problem the devs should address.

May be a different motherboard, audio device and drivers as well then (if you changed both things, you can't assume it is only the CPU alone - or maybe it was not even about the CPU or cores at all). Maybe even the old motherboard's audio device was in some way defective or their drivers didn't support the game's features after the game update. Or it or its drivers or its driver settings were in some other way lacking regardless of the update, and the update only helped diagnose the problem. Not sure. We also don't know if you cloned your operating system 1-1 on the new platform, or totally reinstalled it fresh.

Especially if you said you had audio problems in other games as well

The audio problems only happened on Beta 2 which I haven't tried since, since now I can launch patch 3.1

After I'm done with the game Imma try to launch Beta 2 just to see if the sound works
