Logging into the Microsoft Account?

I believe it allows you to unlock achievements on your Xbox/Microsoft Account. It may allow your Xbox friends to see you playing it too.

There are 2 benefits to linking your account

• Save progress on your Microsoft account. This allows you to keep your progress if you use the Game Pass version
  
• Microsoft Achievements

If neither of those things matter to you, then you need not care about this feature.

On this, I can't sign into it. I try and type in the box where it asks you for details and nothing seems to appear.

Exiting this then crashes the game.

Anyone else had this?

1) Press Escape to cancel it without it breaking the game (don't use Gamepad).

2) The text boxes don't accept keyboard input, but they do accept mouse input and you can right-click the text boxes to open a menu that allows you to paste text. So type your username in to say, Notepad and copy it then paste it in to the login box and click Next, now do the same with your password.

That's absolute crazy. I've just been onto Microsoft tech support who had no idea what to do. They wanted me to uninstall Steam FFS!

If they're not going to support these games properly they really shouldn't be releasing them on PC at all. It's a joke.

The way I fixed was to copy-and-paste my username and password by right-clicking into the textbox.

But yeah... Quite lame that this bug is still there.

Btw. I ended up re-installing the game and logging in to get rewards for one of the 10000 point Microsoft Rewards quest and it worked. All my achievements from Steam transferred to my Microsoft account.
