System Requirements
I noticed that the minimum and recommended specs for WOTW are more demanding when compared to its predecessor. I just want some idea as to how good the game might perform on my current specs.

Processor: Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU @2.60GHz

Ram: 8 GB (as required)

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960m (from my understanding, this is sort of in between the minimum requirements and the recommended specs)

Any response would be appreciated :)

Just fyi, the 960m is not really better then a standard 950 (its actually worse in some ways). Nvidia didn't reach parity between their desktop and laptop cards until the 1000 series. Your CPU being a mobile part is also just scraping by at the minimum specs.

The game will probably run fine with some settings turned down, but no way to know until it's released.

Thanks. I was thinking, though; what about the game would warrant such a huge leap in system requirements? Going from a minimum requirement of a GTX 560 or whatever to a GTX 950 is fairly significant. I almost feel as if they may be slightly over-exaggerating the requirements to an extent. The game looks beautiful, but idk if it looks THAT much better than the first one.

It may not necessarily be "looking better" that is causing the jump, but having to, for instance, render a helluva lot more stuff at once, or more complicated stuff, or both, or any number of other things. Plus it gives them a degree of future-proofing if they overstate the requirements since it means that when, invariably, a game start to suffer for being too old to run properly on the newest gear, they have already pushed that date forward.

Or, you know, they felt like it. :D
