Personally I don't think I can ever go back, but I agree that "the brightness" can be brutal if not calibrated correctly.
I tested HDR support at release, and now it appears to be functioning after the latest patch due to the addition of Exclusive Fullscreen.
I do not believe that the SDR content is being stretched as I initially explained that the SDR slider setting in Win10 isn't taken into account and the monitor itself is indeed displaying HDR visuals.

Mhm pretty much. I'm having a wonderful experience on PC but before when I tested it on Xbox One X it was just awful in some areas, to the point the game was almost unplayable. I would say it dropped to about 20FPS maybe lower.
Hopefully the next patch will address this.
