Concerning Wingclip and a Certain Boss (no spoilers)

Alright so I'm in the Luma Pools boss fight. Having trouble with him because hard mode. I'll fight him off soon enough. I just want to know if he counts as a flying monster for the sake of this charm. I mean, technically this guy shouldn't be flying (for obvious reasons) but he is flying here...

Yeah, him. I finally beat him (half a life orb too). Light burst saved me

His final phase is a joke if you just spam water dash in and out of the water and blast him with split shot arrows in between his 3-rock attack. I don't remember any other part of his fight being at all challenging.

I'm just not the best with coordination. Plus hard mode, so extra damage taken with each hit. I did finally manage to best him though!
