Performance Issues
For whatever reason, my laptop can barely run this game. In the more basic areas, I get decent enough frames however wherever I am, whenever I initiate combat my frames start dropping like hot pockets. I've already tried lowering my resolution scale and screen resolution.

Same issue here, and I run the 1st game perfectly

Same, getting a lot of FPS drops no matter the graphical settings.

It is a demanding game. Dont expect it to run like the first Ori

One possible solution is to run the game in exclusive full screen. This can be done by editing the registry:

Launch "regedit" (can just type this in windows search bar):

Navigate to

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Moon Studios\OriAndTheWilloftheWisps

Set Screenmanager Fullscreen mode_h3630240806 to 0 (should be 1 by default).

Going to try this later today, thanks.

This works! Massive thanks man! The game is smooth as butter now. Solid 60 fps. Looks absolutely stunning on my 65" tv via Steam Link.

So for me, I recently fought Mora, and the whole fight was done in 20-30 fps...It was super bad. I do not experience any fps drops fighting normal mobs...but are these boss sequences just really not optimised? Btw, I have a i7 7700 CPU, GTX 1070 GPU, and 32GB of RAM.

The solution doesn't seem to fix the issue for me either

Another thing to try (not a guaranteed fix, mind you) is to disable fullscreen optimizations by Windows.

Right click on the game's EXE or shortcut -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"

They are in the same place (folder) where you chose to install it.

1. From a game's library page, select Manage > Properties.
2. Select the Local files tab and click the Browse... button.

The game has a lot of "micro stuttering".
My RIG is way above the recommended specs + I am running the game from fast SSD NMVE 2GB/s and micro stutters are still present. Looks like the game is not optimized as good as the first one. It's still very playable but the animations are more choppy.
The first one was super smooth.
