So, Ori dies.
Now, I know the obvious two responses.
First, that he didn't die, he became a tree. Well... the tree references Ori in the third person, and for all intents and purposes IS a different person.
Second, that what is wrong with a bittersweet ending? The answer is nothing, when done well.

The 'sacrifice' at the end basically comes from nowhere. There is absolutely no foreshadowing at all until at the VERY end. This utterly undercuts the ending to a rather startling degree. It left it feeling hollow, empty, and bad to me.

most of them (maybe all) died and turned into ancestral trees who gave ori their powers in the first place
and the story of ori ended with his merging with seir , the glowing leaf is a complete different spirit

This is how you see it.
A story with multiple plot holes make us able to see multiple meaning of the same thing.
You can't prove your right. I can't prove mine.
We can just talk about it and see if others like it or not.

How could we help?

HeadCANON. Unless you want a cannon on your head, that is.

How do you fire a headcanon anyway?

Well, I guess you just think about a cannonball and it shows up in the cannon, then light the cannon. Though be careful not to set your hair on fire during the process.

That's the point, single 'n' won't do.

Your art is great!
However, I had something else in mind... I can see you've been working on "Quari", but it is not my taste of comic. I will show you my enemy design soon- once I have finished.
But still, good luck!

Hmmm...

Teal V2, I think your theory actually… Can even fill up those pesky plotholes?!

What if, the Spirit Tree noticed what happened with Willow/Niwen (Nibel is not THAT far away from Niwen) and thus he created Ori! He wanted to send Ori into Niwen, but the Great Storm happened.
Heck, maybe some Mokis/Guardian Spirits traveled to Nibel (which can be a possible scenario, Naru & Gumo successfully traveled to Niwen on that amazingly sh… lousy boat) and asked him for a seed. Their last seed was being killed and Willow was too old/dead enough to create a new one. And who was that last seed, you may ask? That tree where we got the Spirit Sword, the first one! That’s why Ori passed out, he met a Guardian Spirit who is almost as powerful, maybe even stronger, than him.
But why not the Spirit Tree sent Ori immediately into Niwen, after the events of the first game? Hmm… Ku can fly, hence she can be a very useful companion on his/her/wtv journey… He waited for Ku to grow up.

Okay, I may have gone too far in a few places, that’s ridiculous. We all know the people of Niwen are the antithesis of sense and logic! What a stupid fanfiction that I wrote down up here. Sorry.

This is a discussion. People share their opinions. That's the whole point.
