i'm going to poop my pants if this works, i've tried everything else (have the day off work)... at my wits' end lol.
Which version of unity did you install? i installed 2018.4.11 as cited in the output.log but it still crashes at startup for me.
Any idea how to fix this?
This describes my crashing too -- but i have found a workaround that maybe will help you. First off, i have an old Soundblaster X-Fi that MS published games always seem to have trouble with, usually this same exact issue happens and i can fix it by changing audio default format --
right click volume icon on desktop right corner->open volume mixer->click speaker->advanced tab->change audio default format. if it is set to 16-bit, 48000hz it MIGHT work. if not, go to step two:
change audio device completely. If your monitor has audio out, try switching to it. In my case it is currently running on an Audioengine D1 USB DAC. With this, the game is able to boot and i'm playing it with minimal audio 'buzzing' and it runs decently enough to enjoy at this point with minimal loading pauses.
