charge and jump - you just dash or run under the jump
turn and swipe after you hit its weakspot - you have like 2 seconds to walk slightly away from it
It's painfully slow and has the most obvious tells.
You should have dash skill at that point, the moment when the bug jumps is when you should dodge under it. You also should have healing ability, use it.
As "a Dark Souls masochist" I actually missed having i-frames, but this is better than being a ghost and just rolling through everything unscathed. Rolls with i-frames seem to have spoiled players.
