Why such a high price in Switzerland?
I am not going to complain, I already boought the game.

But is there reason why the steam version in switzerland costs 52 USD? That is 11 USD more than in the second most expensive country (Norway). 75% more than in the USA.
I wonder if this is intentional because there hase never been a game with such a massive difference in price. Even for switzerland, which is usually on the upper end of the price list, this seems a bit unfair. And there doesen't seem to be a huge reason for it since the physical and digital XBox version in Switzerland is aviable for 29 USD. The collectors edition was aviable for 50USD in Switzerland.
I know, the game definitely would be worth even more, money isn't an issue too but the regional pricing doesen't seem to be fair. Even though it is switzerland, money doesen't grow faster here compared to similar countries. :D

I just wanted to point this out. I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Grüezi Wohl. :beatmeat:

Here is my similar topic on this madness:

There is no excuse for such customer disregard. This one time I will live with it, because the game is fantastic. But in the future... hello Torrent my old friend.

Because everyone knows that you guys are rich lol! :-D Just kidding, but there are seriously rumours going around my country that a janitor in Switzerland earns as much as a manager over here (such rumours usually don't include living expenses etc., of course).

Well, it all depends. I am going to assume you live in Czech Republic. I have no idea what you guys earn there. (Google tells me the averge per month is about 106000 CZK / 4660USD, while the minimum is 14400CZK / 630USD)

A janitor in switzerland roughly earns in averge 5300 CHF / 5600USD. (Google tells me so :D)
I can't confirm this as I am not a janitor myself. Hoewever, I have to say this is quite a big salary for "just" an janitor I guess. I work as an electrician (officially called Electrician EFZ) and I earn 4950 CHF / 5270 USD.
We earn quite much but cost of living, taxes and bills and in general most stuff is also preatty expensive. (well I can't really tell how expensive it is in your country).
All I can say is that we roughly get the same ammount of stuff from our spare money like people in germany. The real advantage comes when Swiss people go shopping in germany, where food is roughly half as expensive.

If you are interested, here is a small chart of the cost of an averge swiss household (2,2 people, total income of 10'033 CHF per months before any deductions)
(It is all in german :/)

All in all, I can't complain. I definitely get more stuff for my money than most people around the world.

Cool, thanks for the info. BTW, the median salary in 2019 was 29549 CZK (1309 USD) before taxation. That's official information. The minimum salary in your post is correct (it's actually 14600 CZK, but that's a small detail).

I mean if you earn more (and you do) your living costs also have to be increased. But tbh every cost has to be equivalent to your income don`t you think ? I mean the prices of new cars also vary from country to country. But it`s the same car yet the price can be 5000€ apart.

@Ajukreyzi That is totally true. The only thing is that the price of that game is over proportionaly high compared to countreis like germany. According to this, our price should be slightly higher or the same as the price in germany. But overall, I can't complain. At least I can afford the game, unlike people in countries where it costs a fifth of an entire months salary. :/
That's so stupid, I'm on the chinese market place and I paid 90 yuan ( 12$ US ) for the game.

Such a big gap just based on country. Ridiculous.

@Orion Well, regional pricing is stupid but it is the best attempt to make prices affordable for many people. Many countries have wage and price differences of 2 to 30 times in extreme comparisons. Regional pricing is blessing and curse at the same time.
It wouldn't be too bad of an idea but the problem is that the price adjustments are often totally messed up.

I'm also from Switzerland. I thought about buying the game on Steam to support the devs even though I have Xbox Game Pass which I bought for $1 for 3 months. But I'm not going to do that, now that I've seen that the game costs 49CHF ($52). I even messaged the devs and the publisher Microsoft on twitter two weeks ago but got no response. I'm just gonna play the game on Xbox Game Pass. I don't support this behaviour.
