What the.. no!
more like a creature of light(destiny 1 and 2 ghosts for example)
why people ask this ... oh god emperor why :steamfacepalm:
He is a fluffy cutie.
So I have a conclusion from that thread that there is a clear definition of a "furry" and it has a lot of negativity in it :)
A 'furry' is someone with an interest in anthropomorphic creatures, meanin any animal which shows human characteristics. (i.e. Simba from the Lion King.) You enjoy the Lion King and think Simba is cool, or Timon and Pumba? Then you're a 'bit' of a furry. (Though just like with everything else, there are different gradations)

Ori would classify as an anthropomorphic creature in my eyes, but not as clearly as Simba for example. Mainly because Ori doesn't 'talk', but he still shows more emotion than a normal animal would.

But Ori also clearly intelligent and perfectly understands everything Sein is telling to them.

Exactly. ;p
Ori is kind of a mixture of a satyr, a cat and an ape, with a leaf motif thrown in, what with the spirit guardians being actual leaves at birth. There could also be some gorilla in there, with Ori's bigger forearms and him occasionally supporting himself on his knuckles.
[ the Heresy levels are increasing ]
Furry means creature have some % of human, Ori have 0%, he is different species.
This doesn't mean that "Rule 34" avoid him :)

the language they speak is not a human language (maybe)
I think, we wouldn't understand Sein without that text-box, right?
But Ori does, so he is smart!

Speaking of which, as the part of the community I can tell, Furry is the name of the Anthropomorphic Animal fans IRL (in real life) or, the name of the Anthropomorphic Animals themselves in fantasy.

Ori is definitely not a furry.
He is a different kind of creature which has nothing to do with being a furry.
Aliens from the show aren't furries either.

UFOs are not considered as furries. This includes fantasy creatures too, like Spirits of Light.

The most closest art I've seen about Ori to be actually a furry was, when someone visualized him with a "tiger" kind of face.
But I have doubts if he looked like that close. :cleandino:

Ori is a cute creature who loves to die.
Can't wait for his newest adventure!

Gorilla is an ape last time I checked :) No need to stress it twice. Ori used that ape posture only once, during intro, man!

For me closest analogy to Ori is a squirrel. I consider Ori being roughly of the same size, but may be I'm mistaken cause you can have different size estimations by comparing Ori to different things.

How is it even relevant human language or not? It is just shows a rather high level of mental complexity built into the creature. They can deal with notions and logic and can decipher when it is coded into speech.

I have the same definition of a "furry" in my head. Without any negativity (especially about the second part).

Probably I'm just not familiar with that "furry culture" peoples are talking. And for the better I suppose. I'm not watching those videos on the previous page, ok? :)

And at that point it misses me. Ori is clearly anthropomorphic with their two-legged gaits and upright posture. Two legs, two arms, upright posture, intelligent - how is it not anthropomorphic? But again, I not consider being an anthropomorphic creature as something bad.

I wouldn't say that Ori likes to die. It sounds weird and disparaging. When I play Ori my first and foremost concern is not to kill Ori unnecessarily - Ori doesn't like to die in my book.
