By physical copy for PC, you mean a plastic box with the game key on a sticker?

You can buy Collector Edition for soundtrack, artbook etc., put it on shelf and just ignore console disc. Game on PC is almost free on Game Pass, so you don't waste any additional money on second copy to play it on PC.

yes, thats exactly what i mean..... its the same price as you would buy the game here on steam, so why not get both of both worlds? you get the physical box with code inside. For me,its well worth it, plus i love this franchise. SO yea, i personally dont mind paying for a physical box and having it on my shelf while getting a code instead of a disc. im A-OK with that. but they dont have the pc version only xbox

Well you can do as the other guy said
Just replace the disc (sell or gift it) with a Steam key sticker on the box
Don't exactly know if they stored the digital key on your account

But if they don't, you can buy from a third-party site like greenmangaming or brows any official retailer on isthereanydeal, they will always provide you a key instead which you can use as a replacement

PC Physical is only worth owning when the game is actually on a disc and DRM free. Sadly it's quite rare to see that though. I would have bought the first retail if it was a proper physical release instead of just a fancy looking box with a code inside.

You want a physical copy, get it for consoles.

Buy a dvd case, print a wall paper, put it in as artwork, print your cd key and stick it in the box,

This.

Wish if they do like Team Cherry did with Hollow Knight.
They licensed it to a third party (Fangamer) and they made a really cool CE for all platforms. It includes a DRM-free disc and a steam key.

Because most people including me now get games only from steam with steam gift cards and no buy dvds. That why most games dont even get released on dvd now and they are released only digital

i stopped seeing any point in PC physical games since more often than not there is just a download code in a box
hell a cracked copy burned on a dvd has more collection value than that
