In this game you walk into a store and steal everything off the shelves, steal the wall, steal the floor, steal the shelves, smack the shopkeeper with a shelf, and steal the shopkeeper.

This game was originally released on RPGアツマール, the web-based video game platform run by DWANGO where you can upload the web-based video games you made. I've played many hours on that platform. My play time on steam is short because of that. In fact, you can play it free on above platform(Although it only support Japanese)

The game's purpose is to collect weapons. You pick up anything in the world and use it as a weapon. Title is accurate in that sense. "Anything" including cliffs, your house, NPCs and ultimately, the sea. I mean literally.

The one downside of this game is its performance. Because it is implemented as a web-based video game. The game itself is just a wrapper of web browser. As such, it's not that responsible and sometimes sluggish as hell. But this game does not requires real time action so it's bearable... well, slightly stressful though.

Who needs a legendary sword when you can lift up a church and toss it at a goblin?

I thought it was quaint that I could pick up floorboards and use them as a weapon but then I went outside and literally picked up and equipped my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ house.

I also accidentally killed two neighborhood children and their father with it. I would ask God for forgiveness but I'm pretty sure I could just pick it him up and equip him too at this point.

Best game ever.

The World is your Weapon is a fun time waster game. I still haven't finished it but I did explore it enough and will continue playing.

Pros:
- It plays nicely (at least on my PC)
- It's fun to smack people with houses or the terrain itself.
- It has a lot of unlockables and just using everything to see what kind of possible insane effects they may have is very nice.

Cons:
- Don't expect a deep narrative. The English can be a bit awkward at times.
- Grinding money because of your semi-demonic sister. (This is a joke con)
- Based on the dev updates, it seems there wouldn't be enough endgame levels. But with that price I guess that makes sense.

I saw this game described as having one joke, and while that's not strictly true, it's one joke that REALLY works. And makes me laugh endlessly. Being able to pick up and swing basically anything is a gift that keeps on giving, and while I haven't finished the game yet, I think I'll get there by hour 10 or so, which for me if a good amount of time for a fun game like this.

Softlocked my save file because I picked up the table where you're supposed to sell your weapons as a weapon.

You can pick up your house (in two parts), and sell your house inside your house, by putting it on a table, in order to make enough money to sell everyone's houses faster.

You can go through the roguelike dungeon to find a giant, indestructible c@ck as a weapon, and cheese the entire rest of the game with it.

Highly recommended.

This game is incredibly good, and deserves to be way more known than it is!

I honestly did not expect this game to deliver on its premise nearly as perfectly as it did. You really can pick up more or less everything in this game and use it as a weapon: buildings, roads, wall decorations, friendly townsfolk, walls blocking your way from treasure chests, ponds, extremely cool swords, various appliances, the enemies themselves... And they all have different and reasonable stats and effects, too! I'm in love.

The combat isn't super deep, but it's still really fun. There's an elemental rock-paper-scissors type system, and weapons usually have the elemental effect you'd expect -- a lake will do water damage, an oven will shoot out fire, etc. Weapons have durability and do a crit upon breaking; you can use a currency enemies drop to 'galvanize' a weapon and protect its durability, if you're afraid of losing a beloved weapon at a crucial moment, and every item that I've seen so far can be found again in the same place you got it previously when it breaks.

There's also an almost Pokemon-like "gotta catch 'em all" element to picking up items and using them; the game keeps track of what you've used, and you have an encyclopedia to fill up with the stats of every 'weapon' in the game. Plus, you get experience, so you're encouraged from a gameplay standpoint, as well. Thankfully, with how brisk and enjoyable fighting and exploring is, what could end up feeling like a grindy chore is breezy and fun -- and if you want to level more quickly, you can increase your EXP multiplier for gold, too.

The story's not much, but it's cute and fun, with charming art and a pleasant soundtrack. If you like JRPGs at all, give this one a shot!

The good:
+ Dumb fun game.
+ You can commit crime against humanity walk into villager's home, steal all furniture, steal the floor, steal the building itself, smack villagers inside it, kidnap them and either use them literally as weapon or sell them on your shop.
+ Simple turn-based RPG game. And by turn-based, i mean all NPC/enemy make an action only when you do something (e.g. walk a step or attack).
+ Not much grinding needed, although it's easier if you do so. I can easily brute-force many parts of the game by stocking 20 herbs (for healing) and using 10-13 buildings to either attack enemy from far distance (so i won't receive any damage) or throw all of it to boss.
+ Some optional content such as mini side-quest (usually to get certain weapon), collect all weapon, re-exploring dungeon and rouge-like mode.

The bad: -

The ugly:
* Lack of Steam achievement.
* Average visual/audio and barebone story.
* English translation feel weird on few occasion and few noticeable writing mistake (e.g. lower case for first word on a sentence).

The World is Your Weapon is dumb fan game which doesn't overstay it's welcome (assuming you don't grind too much). I would recommend this game to RPGMaker enthusiast and anyone who're looking for silly/nonsensical game which could be beaten (as in obtain an ending) within a day.
