I find the Anubis boss hard and annoying (switch)
So i played the game fine up until the Anubis boss appeared i thought i had to repeat the similar thing of remembering it's moveset and so on forth i did some trial runs where i died and got to the point where he shoots one green flame, And summons all of those annoying exploding guys,

And died there a few times and then found out how to avoid it but again died at the point where you have to kill the bone throwing guys and i found their range waaaay too OP like the guy on the other side of the room could point blank hit even if i was over at the other side and so forth, I managed to figure that out eventually after time and effort and reckless which brought my health to a critical state and i thought 'i finally beat this boss it's over i can finally progress to another part of the game' Weeeell here's my major complaint about this boss at the point,

You gave him a second phase that you have to go through even if the player has run through all of the health potions they have at that point at time, And i found myself quickly annoyed at the fact of a second phase after all of the annoying stuff i had to go through to get to this point and while dealing such few damage over time like, 2 damage per hit and 2 defense don't you think it would be great to have some sort of armor or weapon upgrade at this point to make the enemies and boss of this point less pain of a ass?

Like i get that you are trying to imitate Ghost and Goblins on the difficulty and i can appriciate your attempt in doing so but adding a boss that has annoying summon abilities that was fine up until the point of him not summoning at all a second phase? That's not difficulty that's just being cheap,

Either remove his ability to summon that many self destructive runner beasts or prevent him from summoning those bone thrower dudes or remove that phase all together, And make it so that when his health reaches half he goes into that second phase thingy,

That would save it a lot of headache getting to that point, So far i've enjoyed this game but this Anubis boss with a nonskippable cutscene and all that i mentioned takes it too far, I would totally be fine if it were like this if i could upgrade my gear earlier and deal 3 damage and have 3 defense and whatever, So yea that's just some of my thoughts about this boss

And no people this doesn't mean i'm asking for advice or whatever ideas you might have about this and if you're gonna flame or attack me for expressing myself go ahead, It won't matter at the end of the day

i had the same problem, i started the fighting him with the Ducktales Pogo-Move after 1 1/2 hour i watched a youtube clip about fighting him and managed it with 4 heath flasks and 6 hearts after a couple of tries. maybe your attack pattern is not that effective too. It took me nearly 10 minutes with the pogo atack to beat him, because it is weaker then the regular attack. If you just stand on the bricks and avoid his attack it is way faster to beat him. so you can focus on the pattern of the spawned monsters. i really enjoyed the difficulty on this one. reminds me of good old NES games. There were some pretty unfair videogames these days.

Just try and practie you'll get better. I swear. Rome wasn't built in one day :-D

"thats not difficulty, that is cheap" how many times have i heard that . Leave the devs alone to make their games. If its to hard for you, than find a different game. Complaining about difficulty leads to easy and uninteresting games.
