I die every time because using the magnet is a very slow process in comparision to the ceiling.
Over 40 attempts now, I had 3k gold on me with 6% gold loss and now I have zero. It's worthless at this point, but it's a good judge of how many times I've died in the same places over and over again.
Great.
I've done so a couple times when I got stuck.
I know what's different though, I don't know the exact frame to act on, and I never will, so I will never beat this game.
If I stub my toe for even half a second, it's over. That's how extremely specific this part is.
This section does not line up with the rest of the game, this is completely out of place for this game, this is something I'd except to find in a pure platformer.
No, this does not fit Cathedral, there was zero indication that the game was going to take a sharp turn into insane platforming like this.
There's three magnet "puzzles" in the section I'm thinking about. The second one has three blocks, but you really just need one. I'm wondering if you're trying to move all three to the next position - that could be a point where you could save some time if you need an extra second or two.

2 minutes, 10 seconds
But by the time I move the one block I need, the spikes have reached the platform above me and I cannot escape.
I'm honestly really surprised that you've gotten this far in the game, only to be stopped here. This part is definitely within the difficulty range the game has already demanded, and I say its probably about a 3/10 on that scale. You should seriously watch a video of someone clearing it to see where you could optimize some movements.
I've watched this video multiple times, I am doing exactly what he does, but as I am not pixel perfect, I can not beat it.
