Quest for the BEST light source.

lets face it, Terraria is a dark game and honestly its somewhat annoying to me. I want to enjoy the amazing pixel graphics and soak it all up...buuttt I can't because one major problem I'm having is lighting up my world. Who out there knows what the single most brightest light source in Terraria is? Torches? Skull candles? I cant seem to find the right one. I'm im sick of littering all my houses with 99 torches. So far I found that Skull Candle emits the most light. Anyone else have something better?

I think torches are more or less brighter than anything.

If you press F9 while in your world, it has four different lighting settings, try that.

White torch. (torch+diamond)

I know this is very old, but Google likes it so here it is: White torch when placed down, Ultrabright torch (Traveling merchant) when held (dims when placed).
