Running 2 instances of Terraria at once.
Now I know that people have posted this sort of thing before, but I want something different.
I bought Terraria on steam, and what I want to do is have 3-4 Terraria's running all at once. I know how to setup a didicated server, but I want to have 4 players on that sever, controlled by me. Anyone know how to do that?

That's the best solution

Steam generally doesn''t allow for an application to be launched multiple times at once, so while there might be ways of doing it, might be tricky. Might I ask why you need this though?

Its for Terraria, i'm currently trying to get the biome keys, and i found a way of doing it AFK, however, since it takes so long, I wanted to run more than one Terraria, so i could have more than one charcter trying to get those keys.

if you're going to do that you might as well just download a map that has the items.

Also: Multibox programs. Dunno of any that are free though.

You can run more than 1 instance of Terraria, for some reason this only works with Terraria though. (it did in 1.1, don't know about 1.2 though)

You used to be able to do this just by running it again. They removed it because it was an extremely easy way of duplicating items. Sorry man, unless you mod your game, I don't think there is any way you can do this.

If you're just going to cheat to get your items, why the hell are you doing it the hard way? Just use an inventory editor or something if you don't plan on actually working for the loot.
