Lihzhard Altar In Jungle Temple

Does the altar only spawn if the world is in hardmode? Me and my friend play on a hardmode world but the altar did not spawn in the last room, we knew there was a reported bug problem with this and it says on the wiki. We made a new world which didn't have hardmode and went straight to looking for the temple....we found it and again it had no altar.

I've made at least 3 worlds in single player (not hardmode worlds) and there has been no altar appear for me yet. This is getting frustrating.

You need a key dropped by the Plantera for enter (You need hardmode). But you don't need to be in Hardmode for the temple and the altar.. And that never happens to me, only the bug that I can't reach the altar :S

Yeah, I had 3 keys, I am gonna have to murder Plantera for more at this rate lol... Spectre armor + Magnet Sphere I can kill it without moving from on top of it and I don't even lose health haha xD

Hell yeah! Was 3rd key lucky and the altar spawned. Killed the golem and this dropped:

Still got 19 lihzahrd power cells too haha, 19 more kills coming up! :D *hopes for a magic item of some sort*

you can move the altar from one world to another with the lihzahrd pickaxe he can drop

If the altar can be moved, does that mean it doesn't have to be placed in the temple to summon the golem? Does the golem destroy blocks that aren't lihzhard blocks? Coz I wanna summon him on the surface but not if he's gonna destroy the terrain in one stomp. :P

He wont break any blocks and can be summoned as long as there is an alter. Anywhere
