Active wood blocks?

Went into a friend's server earlier and they had wood blocks set up as active/inactive blocks. When I check the guide, though, I can't find any recipes to make active wood blocks. Anyone know how to make/get them?

wires, more precicely green and blue ones, they will turn any block active unactive.

Green and blue wires are set using green/blue wrenches, though. Uses regular red wire. I've already tried wiring wood blocks to blue wire, but it has no effect on them.

cuss that is what green and blue wires do, make blocks active inactive, red ones still just transfer stuff

But I already wired wood with blue wire, and it didn't do anything.

Actuators.

You need to use actuators. Those are what make blocks other than stone active/inactive.
