Those Biome Chests in the Dungeon

So i was running around in the underground jungle trying to find plantera's flower when i got a "Jungle Key" as a drop from an enemy (not sure which one) i brought it to the dungeon and unlocked the corresponding chest and got the "phirana gun" it come out sort of like a boomerang but once you hit something with it it goes from enemy to enemy killing everything until the screen is clear, i'm not sure if it can phase through walls, also it's attack counts as ranged damage. this is just a heads up to let people know that the keys seem to be monster drops and the that the phirana gun can be found as a reward from the jungle chest, hopefully this isn't old news.

also i was able to reforge it with the unreal modifier

Ive been trying to farm for the ice chest key, no luck as of yet. But ill tell you what i get when i find one of my own!

sounds cool, i'm curious to hear about the other rewards. maybe the ice biome chest is where you get the S.D.M.G.,iv'e been wanting to try that out for a while.

i assume you get keys for the biomes boss type (some kind of ice giant for ice, brain of thulu for
a bloody red chest thing? regular cthulu (does he exist?) for the water chest looking thing...

i'm not sure, I think mine just popped out of a hornet in the under ground jungle, but still it might be restricted to certain monsters as you said.

Also i heard that Cthulu has not been added to the game at this point.

I believe its just hardmode mobs in the biome you want the key for. Ive seen people get one during blood moons or eclipses frequentley due to high mob spawns

oh yeah, i forgot to mention i was in hard mode

Still no key. These keys must have an extremely low drop chance. I'll probably have better luck during a blood moon.

it's probably better that way, it gives you something to do after beating the bosses and getting all the buhdayus gear.

Yeah. On a completly unrelated side note *cough* does is it possible to purposefully cause a blood moon or eclipse?

i don't think theres an in-game item for that but it's probably possible using some program. a trainer maybe?

Well i dont want to cheat, so i guess ill have to wait for the blood moon, blizzard, or solar eclipse.

Yay, at least i got something out of it so far, i got a Toy Sled! Summons a baby snowman pet.
