never mind v.v
sorry :P
Oh and this idea I've had for a while, an original boss(or ill take some mobs too) that requires the use of melee or magic weapons to use. Everyone just gets the megashark and pwns everything and thats all they'll use. If there was a boss that required something other than a ranged weapon then maybe the the melee weapons won't fall off so much in terms of use later in the game. (hint, hint, it could drop souls of fight)
So, for my idea: World Bosses, bosses you can't set up an arena for and only defeat them once. They never despawn until dead and you rarely expect to find them.
Imagine just mining underground and finding a creepy wall made out of what looks like flesh and blood. This wall would "grab" you if you got close and launch you into a chasm with no escape. A heart would appear in the middle with veins streching from it to the walls. It attacks by summoning enemies and veins. Also covers itself with veins to protect itself while pretty much just creeping you out beyond belief. Upon defeat, the walls become mineable (although don't give a drop similar to alters) and gives an NPC who was trapped in the heart.
A giant single gryffon who is perched on one of the sides of a random floating island. In addition to rushing at you, it could fly extremely quickly above you and kick you down to the ground if you tried to escape above the island or to the sides. It'll stop chasing you if you leave the island. Harpies spawn slightly faster than normal around it and it can launch you far using air from a wing attack, reguardless if you have a cobalt shield. Upon death it will drop an egg which summons a pet upon use.
Treants, or magical animated nightmarish trees, will add some danger to ordinary forests. They are about 2-3 times larger than normal trees and aren't full-fledged bosses, but rather mini-bosses that spawn individually and fairly rarely. They are slow, only spawn in forests and are unable to noclip. Several attacks such as throwing acorns that will plant themselves if they miss you and creating smaller treants by animating the nearby trees around them. Extra damage taken from fire.
As an extra to these monsters, they come in hallowed and corrupted variants too once in hardmode! Hallowed will be filled with beatiful leaves and sunshine while corrupted ones look dead and like unholy abominations of nature filled with thorns. Both will spread their logical enviroment by planting seeds on the ground as they move along. Since they are in hardmode only, they are stronger and have more health. They also have special moves seperate from each other. Hallowed treants will cause saplings to grow around them and in turn become animated along with the other hallowed trees. Corrupted treants will grow thorns along with the acrons on the ground and can also increase the spawn rate of corrupted enemies.
You can already do that. Just use the IP of the PC you want to connect to on the local network. IE You want to connect to your brother's pc at 10.0.0.40.
And some upgraded forms. "Pheonix feather" again as an accessory. 50% chance to revive, 5 minute cooldown. Crafted using a "Burning feather," 20 adamantite bars and 20 souls of plight at a mythril anvil.
Souls of plight are found upon killing a hardmode boss summoned in the hallowed. I don't have an idea for a hallowed boss at the moment, but it should be modeled after "Holy" or "Faith" to fit in the theme with plight. (Why plight? Because all souls are required to ryhme)
"Immortality Tincture" is a potion that, when consumed, grants a buff called "Semi-Eternal Life" for 15 minutes. "Grants instant revival upon death." Basically gives 100% chance of reviving immediately. Gives the debuff "Pheonix Ashes" for 10 minutes, which also prevents the drinking of an "Immortality Tincture." Crafted using bottle of water, 1 soul of plight, 1 Hellstone ore, daybloom and moonglow.
The "Buff" from the immortality tincture will have a golden-white background instead of a sky-blue background.
As a bonus, having both a "Burning feather" and "Pheonix feather" gives 65% total. (50% times 30% = 15%, then add 15% to 50%. Also because 80% is possibly OP.)
Revival keeps buffs, but removes debuffs except for "Pheonix Ashes." Revives at 50% maximum health if using feathers, 80% if using tincture. "Pheonix Ashes" buff cannot be removed by nurse, doesn't add cost to healing from nurse, and cannot be removed by death, so it must run out of time to be able to revive using this method again.
Also because of the 10 minute cooldown, you probably won't be able to use the tincture twice in a boss fight. Feathers only give 5 minutes, but they have some risk they won't work. Tincture overrides the feather's abilities and cooldown times, but feathers reduce the cooldown by 1 and 1/2 minutes each when using the tincture.
