When containing Corruption, must I also eliminate backgrounds to prevent spread?
I am currently prepping my world for finishinf off WoF. Digging 3-block wide holes and lining the edges with dungeon bricks. In order to ensure the Corruption does not cross the gap, must I also hammer out the background dirt wall tiles?

Don't sweat the Corruption walls. They are decorative. Remove them if you want but if you're planning on adding clean dirt / stone / clay / whatever, don't waste your time. Clearing a wall can be a hassle if you've already stripped away the soil.
