Adamantite Drill Bug?
After drilling almost constantly for 2-3 minutes, my Adamantite Drill will shutdown on its own. My left mouse button is still held down but the drill just stops. This only seems to happen when drilling Ebonstone blocks. (I'm taking out a Corruption biome)

Anybody else notice this?

I havn't had a problem like that, but what i would try is verifying integrity of game check to make sure you do have all the files.
Right click terraria in the steam app. > Properties > LocalFiles > Verify integrity of game check..
If it retrieves files you should be set, otherwise, I'd just keep rolling with what you got.

I have... i just assumed (using hamdrax mind you) that the drill *runs out of gas* nothing is wrong with my game

That's almost what it seems like -- the drill runs out of gas or overheats.

Appreciate the tip but the game is fine. This looks like an in-game bug (if that). Could be my mouse too.

If this might help but I would sugest deleting and re-downloading the game so that you make sure ALL the files are implemented.

LOL. I'll go right out and do that! Matter of fact, I'll just re-install Windows 8 while I'm at it! :P

i've only ever noticed it with my hamdrax. although i've always attributed it to perhaps my mouse hardware is crappy and it loses the input signal after i've been holding on the left mouse button for over 5 continuous minutes...

i bet the same thing would happen with my copper pickaxe if i ever found myself swinging it for a continuous 5minutes...

Don't think I have ever used it for that long consecutively... huh now I'm curious.

I believe it's just a DirectX or hardware bug, holding a mouse button for 3-5 minutes probably wasn't what Microsoft or the manufacturer expected :P.

Either way, I still like -imagining- the "out of drill power" thing. xD

Haha. Same here. Well, mine just overheats when removing lots of Ebonstone blocks.
