New* Antlion Farm Method

Discovered a slightly less tedious way to farm antlions that i haven't found on any of the wiki's or forums.

First thing's first. You need dessert, but specifically, you need enough that it goes off screen by at least 50 blocks on both sides.

Second, build a platform 70 blocks high, with a way to get back up to it. I used a grapple hook and Bottle in a Cloud to get up and down quickly. if you don't have a bottle in cloud you could just make a stairway of platforms. make sure it's something enemies can shoot through.

third, make sure it's daytime.

finally, go to your platform that's 70 blocks high, and just stand there. you'll hear the antlions firing at you to either your left or right when they spawn. it's as simple as that, no more running back in forth.

discovered that on this platform i don't even have to move, they spawn on their own and your speakers will tell you when they spawned. I have noticed they never spawn directly below, only to the left and right just out of my screen reach. even though i'm high enough up that i can't see the bottom.

one last thing, they will despawn, so jump down when you hear it.

Pretty cool, It didnt work for me but if you make it 50 blocks high you can see sand balls fly towards you instead.That helps if your speakers are busted up or something

what if you wire up a pair of dart guns firing in both directions so it just kills them, so you could AFK farm them, preferably with some sort of shelter to hide from the vultures... then afterwards run and grab the mandibles?
