i also use the technique of looting ores of floating islands, they give u a fair bit of gold. hope i helped :)
and make full shadow set
i did that on my first HC playthrough rocking silver armor, i just wanted to show gold up for the experience of beating him with the best at the currect progression level. Chasing gold armor for the challenge of finding out how to find it
So I also suggest that you start a new mine, and dig down 100+ blocks, then dig left or right 10 blocks, then dig down 5 blocks, then opposite the direction you went last time, and over and over and over. This allows you to see as if you dug a fricking huge pit when you started the the zig zag patter (even more so if you light the tunnel properly.)
There is a general depth you should be looking at, particularly on a large world. But there's no guaranteed approach.
The guy who suggested you skip gold has the right idea, though. My progression usually goes iron -> warding watches -> gold broadsword -> blade of grass -> shadow armor.
you mean the copper watch can have preffixes? thats just....GENIOUS!, you were talking about watches right? prior to EoW?
