No curroption in my large map?

Im searching for shadow orbs but i cant find the corruption, ive searched almost anywhere and in map viewer there are no vertical and horizontal chasms, i havent seen chasms and corruption. and im pre-hard mode.

Can someone help?

they say 50 50 chance of it being crimson or corruption since 1.2 ive created 30+ worlds to try and get corruption and only 1 are corruption

If you dont have the corruption, look for crimson. you cant fight Eater of Worlds but you can fight his crimson equivalent, the brain of cthulu. He is summoned by destroying 3 demon hearts or using some other item that i dont know.

Look for the crimson biome it has the same aspects as a corruption

Yes I have Crimson with caves (red brick) leading to Demon altars and beating hearts, but I dont have single Corruption and the Chasm as it states in wikia.

But i only have (Hearts) in Crimson, no shadow orbs and in map viewer it shows the shadow orbs with letter (S) but there are hearts instead, what the?

Crimson is the alternate to Corruption. Those hearts are the equivalent of Shadow Orbs. The difference ifs they drop different loot and summon a different boss when you break 3. Otherwise, it is pretty much the same idea.

When a World spawns, you either get the Corruption or the Crimson, which was recently added in the 1.2 update. The 'Hearts' drop items just like Shadow orbs, but more 'Crimson' related. For instance, the Musket is replaced by the Undertaker. If you REALLY need the corruption, you will either have to make a new world or purchase seeds from the Dryad during Night or a Blood moon (one of the two). Aswell, there are new bosses in the Crimson that replace the Corruption's + a different ore. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Thank you guys now I feel better because i thought it was a bug and in wiki it doesnt state (or i have missed) you get either Crimson or Corruption.

One last question if I seed corruption do shadow orbs spawn and get the musket? .

Shadow orbs and pulsating hearts only spawn on the creation of a world.
