Random Skeletron Prime Spawn.

After opening some goodie bags and putting on the Wolf Vanity set I got a Message saying "The Air around you gets Cold" and then Skeletron Prime just spawned randomly, I didn't fight him as I didnt have the armor and gear. But why did this happen?

Since you are in hardmode until you beat him he has a chance like all the other mechanical bosses to spawn randomly at night. If one is going to spawn you will get a unique message depending on which one spawns.

Seems like they spawn a lot more now than they used to for the first time before you beat them.\ which is nice if you are prepared. I wasn't the first 2 times any of them spawned. XD

Yep in most cases, although I was unlucky enough to run into a bug where the message didn't display and while I was busy selling some junk to the merchant, The Twins suddenly came flying into my house and it didn't end well lol

I honestly think that the spawn thing is unfair, and I think they should spawn naturally when you get certain armor tiers, because what will you do if right after you beat WoF you have to face The Twins?

This game I had a massive bit of luck, or was unlucky depending on how you look at it.

I beat Skeleton Prime, and then the next morning I had my first Eclipse! Then the next night I had a Blood Moon during a Full moon so I had Werewolves, and THEN a Goblin Army came the next morning!

I made a lot of gold, but I died a few times during the Eclipse. :(

These random spawns is why hardcore characters will never be viable, imagine getting into hardmode and suddenly have a skeletron prime spawn at night when you're still wearing molten armor

how are you supposed to survive any further? might just as well delete your character.

If your world is hardmode, the mechanical hardmode bosses have a 2% chance spawn each night if you haven't defeated them yet. The message 'This is going to be a horrible night' means that thw Twins will spawn soon, 'You hear/feel (don't remember) a rumbling beneath you' means that the Destroyer will spawn soon. The cold air is Skeletron Prime, the Golem and Plantera can't spawn randomly.

this happened to me twice in the same world,the first when I had barely had anything in the way of hardmode items, the second was on a bloodmoon,you can't do anything about it sadly.

i got the message 'the air is getting colder around you' and prime didnt spawn what happend?

the game probaly glitched or it became day

because the wolf costume summoned him because skeletron thought u were his/her wet hairy baby. :D
