Arrows vs bullets vs rockets.

I want to try a ranged person on Terraria and I'm wondering which is better: arrows, bullets or rockets? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each and whats your favourite?

I like bullets the most. They're used with most of the weps, they have a lot of cool variations, and they are easy to get from the Arms Dealer.

I love Hellfire arrows tho

That depends entirely on the weapon.

You can't quanitfy ammo between different kinds because the weapons differ so much.

Now, if you wanna know what the best bullet is or best arrow is, that's a different story entirely.

Bullets are best because rockets can inflict damage and arrows are weaker.

I prefer chlorophyte bullets. 34 range damage, 47% crit + they're following your target, you can literally shoot around corners. Use it with Shroomite armor and the Sniper Rifle to deal 800-1000 damage per shot. You will turn hardmode mobs into one-hit kills, and it's almost impossible to miss.

I suppose how you define "best". Bullets and rockets are the best options for doing the most damage overall, but honestly I stick with arrows, staves and shurikens, simply because I enjoy the challenge of using them over the others. Staves tend to do decent damage and still provide a challenge in the game. It's all to taste, though, based on your playing style.

Clorophyte bullets with the tactical shotgun ensures that all 6 shots hit a target, making it extremely powerful, automatic and requiring no aiming.

arrows are the easiest to get and keep up with as well as bows

bullets are mid game with fewer gun options

rockets are the top end game weapons and ammo for ranger but few weapon options sadly.
