Is it possible to still get the "Santa Claus" NPC?

Just noticed it on the wiki, and I wondered if it's still possible to get it, or is it like a Christmas exclusive NPC?

Christmas Exclusive. Wait till Christmas to get him. But even then he only hangs around till they end the event and then he goes away again.

Well you can just find an item server or download a map that has all the items in it. I'm pretty sure you can find one that has the Santa outfit in it.

You can use TEdit to spawn him if you wish.

Won't he just die the next day though? I recall that he only stays alive between the 15th and 31st of Decenmber. You can always change your computer's clock to that date and work it like that.

I just edited my save a little to add the santa outfit, the only thing I really care about having, cause it does looks pretty cool, probably the last time I am ever gone edit my save :p

just turn your system clock to dec 25, 12:30 pm. gen a new world, and farm presents. one of witch will drop a snow globe, that spawns the frost legion, then when its dead, santa will move in temperoly, or until the system clock says its no longer xmas, eg: jan 10

Easier to just download inventory editor and adding in the outfit ;) I don't really care about playing legit when it comes to spawning in items that just looks cool, I am not for spawning in Legendary stuff etc, cause that would ruin the game, the santa outfit wont, you probably get what I mean.

He does assuming the Frost Legion has also been defeated but back when this thread was originally posted in 2013 you couldn't temporarily force the holiday event without changing your clock.
