Are they really that rare? I managed to get one just trying to find the cloud islands to get my star sword (because I'm a noob) being harassed CONSTANTLY by harpies...

SAME THIS IS MAKING ME GOING CRAZY I FEEL LIKE ITL NEVER DROP, YET I GOT 2 HARPY BANNERS WHICH HAVE A 0.5% DROP RATE LIKE THE GIANT FEATHER AHH (does it matter if im trying to get one pre-hardmode?)

The feather can be gotten during pre-hardmode, but the Souls of Flight can't, so you can't actually craft the Harpy Wings until hardmode.
