What's next after hardmode dungeon/jungle temple?

Hey guys, I've been playing and it appears I've reached the end after fighting enemies in the dungeon and defeating the stone golem. However, I think there is more to do after this. I'd like to progress without reading too many spoliers, so that's why I'm asking here. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You can try killing enemies over and over and over and over and over and over and over (repeat at nauseam) again until they drop the biome keys (You'll know what to do when you get them), or you could try twiddling your thumbs, or getting a clentanimator and purifying your world, or making a canvas world, or whatever...

Basically, there's nothing. If you've killed the Golem then you've done all bosses. If you want to continue, the only thing to do is farm for rare drops.

There isn't much game progression after the golem other than biome keys, so you'd have to make your own goals. I like to collect or make every piece of armor in the game and put them on mannequinns, so you could try that, or fight bosses over and over until you get all of their drops and trophies. Find all of the pets.

A tip for biome keys: Place meteorite in the biome you want the key for. You'll fight meteor heads (pre-hard-mode, very easy enemies) and they will still have a chance to drop it.

And to be frank, you can't have ALL of the pets unless you own the Collector's Edition of the game, which is only sold in the EU. All new characters on that have a Carrot in their inventories for their own Bunny.

There's the biome keys and theres also the bone key you could get by killing the dungeon guardian.

Go make specialized armor/accessory sets. I'm currently working on a set that lets me do the highest damage possible in 1 hit.

You could try for a pirate map (1% drop from ocean biomes in HM) to summon the pirate invasion which has some rare drops and the pirate npc moves in after they're defeated.
I'm fairly certain there's going to be some sort of halloween update for more stuff to do too.

Guardian isn't actually tough to kill if you know how.

And that stupid bunny totally doesn't count, just like the console pets don't count.
