Ancient Armor

What are the drop rates/drop conditions. Are they exclusive to pre-hard mode?

You can get them during hardmode as well, Ive gotten ancient necro, cobalt, and uhh the ancient corruption one, Ive heard theres ancient gold and possibly more but I dont know

They're not specifcally in hardmode and I think a lot of them drop from skeletons.

I have found Necro, Gold, Cobalt, shadow, and Iron.
I might have found Necro in Hardmode once, I think, but I have only found gold in normal. Also, I have never found an ancient Cuirass, only helmets and the occasional pants.
Anyone know spawn rates?

Dude, if the wiki was helpful in the slightest, I wouldn't need these forums. Even if the wiki was complete, it is a very difficult website to access on some browsers.
Also, the ancient iron helmet just looks like a bucket.

Which wiki are you talking about, the "offical" one sucks, only the gamepedia one is good.
