When searching for Pyramids
I was wondering when I am looking for pyramids, should I look under the sand? Should I only look in large-medium worlds? Should I not look in corrupted deserts, and small deserts? Should I use a splunking potion? Thanks for any feedback.

They usually have an entrance on surface, but sometimes, you may look under the sand for those bricks, It means there's a Pyramid. Corrupted Desert and Hallowed can have a pyramid as well. Since those are "normal" deserts until you defeat WoF. I don't know if small desert are able to have a pyramid. Also, you might create new worlds until you find your first pyramid. Good luck on there.

The entrance to it dont have to have anny chests, so spelunken is kinda pointless I belive.
I dont know if they can be burried but timewise its just bether to generate a new world and just run trought it and hope you find one, if not, make a new one and try again.

I found my first pyramid yesterday, the thing was nearly buried in the sand, and I had to dig to get it, so pay close attention.

Most I have found are buried with the tip barely sticking out at ground level or a few tiles down below sand/ground level. Also, I created a LARGE map and it had 3 big sand deserts but no pyramid. I do think that 1.201 or 1.202 (which both came out only days after 1.2) increased the change of pyraminds spawning though.

well that all depends. Some people don't have a lot of free time to grind for everything and just want to play a fun game. Multiplayer with edited inventory is a little dishonest though.

Well it's more TEdit was the problem, but still, even if you're just "Grinding" for pyramids, it's not that hard to find them on your own.

How many worlds did it take for you guys to spawn one? I generated about 10 before giving up...

Unless you want the red carpet or sandstorm in a bottle I wouldn't bother about the pyramids the vanity items you get look horrible. Suggestion keep generating new worlds.

It took me two after the update increased their chances.

Use the world viewer ( http://moreterra.codeplex.com/ ) to find pyramids or a living tree on newly created worlds. A little less frustrating then running around in 10+ worlds when you don't know if any actually spawned.
