Ladders/Climbing Hotkey

I'd like a choice as to what key would climb, rather than have it automatically bind to W. I hated having to hit space to jump, so I bound that to W. Wasn't an issue before the massive update, but now that there's ladders, I can't even use them. I'd like to keep jump to W, but have some sort of option for what key climb is bound to.

I did that too, W is more convinient for me. But I'm affraid this can't be solved unless you bind space bar to up. Though, a bit wonky, it gets the job done.

I climbed a rope/ladder once, it was just my Up key . So I think if you just bind your Up key to something else (most people are using WASD) then I think that can solve your problem about climbing up the rope.

Well, I guess another solution is not to use ropes. The reason I said "once" is because I literally have climbed a rope once. I played before ropes came into the game, so I was used to using wood platforms or dirt and stone blocks to get around, then I would get a grappling hook or ivy whip, then I would get rocket boots and then wings. I really have not climbed a rope other than to see how it was used in the game...once.

The only issue I have with binding jump to w is that hovering with hover board is pain.

Um almost every pc game I've played defaults to space for jump...

The only time Jump is like W is perhaps those games that everyone hates :P

Also eventually you won't even be using rope, chain, etc...you'll just be flying up.
