Plantera Insta-Enrage?
So, I'm farming plantera drops before the patch and Plantera is nice and somewhat slow. Not really a challenge with vampire knives. However, now that 1.2.1.2 has come out, everytime I summon Plantera, it is 2x its original speed and is impossible to escape even in a large open underground jungle arena. Is anyone having a hard time like me? or any tips?

Yeah it was changed. It enrages when ontop of the jungle or left the jungle. That's all I know

Are you taking it outside of the jungle biome at all to get to your arena?

Or is it in the underground jungle but was made using enough blocks and wall that they change the background music (and/or change the biome).

If you move Plantera above 0 depth, it counts as the surface, even if it looks underground, so she'll enrage.

It is a natural arena... I only cleared a few of the mud blocks. It plays normal jungle music. Also this is completely underground.

whell yess it hass sped up BUT plantera does not despawn when you die. so if you sleep where you battle him you will not have to restart the battle so it dose not matter how manny times you die you just respawn nect to him and he does not despawn hope that helps. [:

Im having the same problem, im not sure whats causing it. I killed Plantera the day before last relativley unprepared but just now, very well prepared with only improvements to myself, i can barely do any damage. (Im assuming its enraged for some reason)

make a depth meter and check the depth as stated earlier in the thread anything above 0 depth counts as surface, even if it is bellow ground, in other words, if plantera gets above 0 in height it's gonna get ticked off.

I thought her deep enough in the jungle, expecting a regular battle and a regular win for me. But I noticed today that she was moving really fast and I think she was hitting through my armour...

I don't see how it is possible to fight Plantera underground, unless you literally clear two screens worth of moving around area (boring).

I always brought him above ground, but tried him underground today, and his 2nd phase owned me hard. Half the time he's within blocks, so my sphere/golden shower isn't able to even hit him... if I have to clear a huge area and fight him underground, I just might let my hallowed key mold rot in a chest.

actually you can fight plantera in a pretty confied space provided you make sure there is a small wall in the centre to block the shots of the first form, 2nd form isn't much big of a deal if you just keep circling around it, that makes it stand nearly completly still and since Plantera don't shoot stuff in the 2nd form it makes things alot more manageble
