Hermes Boots....

Any tips on finding the herms boots ? What biomes did people find them in ect ect. 50 hours been playing this amazing game with hours on the wiki, youtube ect ect figuring everything out. At the stage where i have two worlds one for my items and one on hardcore mode and I really want the hermes boots but i can seem to find them anywhere... Sods law when you really want that item you can't find it to save your life

making a non hardmode world for looting is a good idea, just make one an go caving and diging,
one good way is to dig chafts stright down from the surface, then go back and make another one about a screen away.
When done you are bound to have found some chests, and to find them all now just dive in and fall while at the same time using a spelunken potion.. then repeat with the next chaft.

Found any flurry boots? They are the same as hermes but just look diffrent. They are foudn in ice chests

Rocket boots and water walking boots but I dont use them as i have wings find them pointless plus with web slinger never really stuck.. Yet to find the flurry boots as well.. Just have to keep seraching wish they was in just one biome but it looks like it's random how they spawn. Mite try that margonian reminds me of branch mining on minecraft :P

Use rocket boots if you have wings. Wearing the boots and wings boosts how high you can fly.

I have found the Hermes Boots in easy mode, as a matter of fact "twice". Wish I could send you a pair.

I have several of those boots in storage and found even more that I sold off (since I just want certain enchantments)

Some common places to find chests:

Outside and underground near the dungeon
Jungle
Overworld near surface, especially if you find a nearby cave hole

Now that you have Herme's boots, combine em with those rocket boots, then you can make Lighting boots easily after that. They're super useful. Those with wings allow you to fly really far.

Now that you have Herme's boots, combine em with those rocket boots, then you can make Lighting boots easily after that. They're super useful. Those with wings allow you to fly really far.

He just needs some other stuff to, anglet and someting else I belive.
But yes, Lighting boots are great.

Yea aglet and anklet. Aglets seem to be very common. Anklets are a bit less common but tend to be in jungle chests a fair bit.

You have to be kinda stupid to dig yourself into lava if you play terraria.

@Pumpkin_Masher That's why i wanted them :P @Margonian That rule only applies to new people i think XD Just farming The Destroyer boss at the momment for the Hallowed Bars then moving onto harder bosses once i have better armor.. Cheers for all the comments guys you have all been been really helpfull.
