possible demon altar glitch?
ok I have the pwnhammer and I tried breaking the demon altar in the infestation caves and they hurt me. I go to the corruption caves and I can break those and get blessed. Is this a glitch or is the pwnhammer not strong enough to smash the infestation altars?

Kill The Wall of Flesh, and you'll be good to go on breaking those altars.
