Getting the truffle (mushroom guy)

I have all the followers i can have roight now, except the truffle, i have laid out mushroom dirt blokcs on the floor and put a house on top but after about 3 (real life days) he has not come. If you know the detalis of getting him please help.

Hmm, I can't think of anything except you might need more mud, and mushrooms for this house(hard mode), but then again I might be wrong seeing I dont have any visuals on what it looks like.

I built an entire above ground mushroom forest with a mushroom spire and mudbrick house on the top just for him. The requirement I think it an above ground musroom forest large enough thati t changes the theme music and background of the area. Mine is about two screens in width with mud ground that I seeded with mushroom grass and it is covered in mushroom trees and glowing mushrooms.

If you want I can host a game and show you it for an idea.

you need the mud to be 2 thickand at least a screen wide with the house in the middle

You need litterally just like 50 mushroom grass blocks, it barely takes anything. Just enough for the background to change color, if it's aboveground.

Also doesn't need to be made of Mushrooms as I have mine in a house made of Gray Brick and Wood Wall.

Not really except making that above ground mushroom biome and farming the mushrooms there. The only way of getting Mushroom Grass Seeds is by collecting Glowing Mushrooms.

Just run through a glowing mushroom field a few times. You'll soon get enough seeds. In fact after making my above-ground glowing mushroom biome, which I started with just 1-2 seeds, now I get about 5-7 seeds every time I harvest some mushrooms. ( I let it grow to more area than just a house size, so I can use it for harvesting also instead of going underground to where my previous mushroom field was)

I included a lot of mushroom items and planted mushroom seeds to be safe too.

You can get him as soon as you enter hardmode.
