There is no best, especially when it comes to accessories. You pick and choose what you need for the situation.
Some people prefer all out damage, some people prefer utility, some people prefer a bit of both. It also depends on whether you're fighting a boss, or spelunking, or PvPing, or whatever.
I've seen people posting that swear by using Lightning or Forstspark Boots for speed (for example), but I never use them, ever.
It's all personal preference.
FULL SPECTRE NEEDED
For the modifiers do 1 arcane ( for extra mana ) 2 menacing ( damage + healing ) 2 warding ( defence to counteract the spectre or you can replace these with menacing and ironskin potions )
Hope you found this helpful ~Kitten
That is a really good set ups! Thanks
Wings,
Lighning Boots (Swapped for Scorceror Emblem in Arena battles),
Celstial Stone (Sun + Moon stones),
Ankh Shield,
Papyrus Scarab (Necro' scroll + Beetle) (Sometimes swapped out for alternates)
Alternats;
Tool Belt, for working.
Magic Cuffs, any decent battles away from safety of arena
Moon Shell, any long term water work or to check if night. (werewolf part)
Alternate Armour in Social slots "Spooky", for "working". Gives 5 Ravens guarding total, with 70 dam' each!
A variety of modifiers, 1 +mov', 2 + def' and 2 +dam'.
All the Alternates have +def'.
(all are +4% of whatever)
*note; Scorceror Emblem gives a total +19% damage with modifier to magics adding a good chunk to healing as well to Spectre setup.
So main layout gives me 40 def', toy'd with mostly +dam' but becomes a bit too fragile with only 32 deff', always one has +4 mov' except in arena where L-Boots and +mov get swapped out.
...never saw the point of Frostspark boots ..ice is fun! :))
All layed out here, except BOOTS as I am on arena.

Jesus, that is so much detail! You deserve a ham
Thanks a lot
..cool!
(numm numm noom nom nuum mumum)
I was hungry. :)
Full Spectral Alchemist
Armor:
- Spectre Hood
- Spectre Robe
- Spectre Pants
Acessories:A Set dedicated to getting as much self heal and damage output as possible. Spectre Armor is obviously there for self healing, but the accessories Destroyer Emblem and Sorcerer Emblem allows you to gain even more health. Hoverboard or Wings is a usual must, but can be subsituted for Magic Quiver (Explained later on) if you have a constant supply of Gravitation potions. Mana Flower or Magic Cuffs are there so you don't run out of mana. But why Star Veil you may ask? There is currently a bug which allows you to gain health via the Stars spawned by Star Veil, which leads into my second reasoning on why Magic Quiver is possibly viable. Because the Star Veil spawns stars which are the exact same stars spawned by Star Fury (Previously a Magic Weapon), and Holy Arrows also spawn the exact same said stars, Chlorophyte Shotbow with Holy Arrows is a extremely viable option even for casters, Due to how rapid the self heal is, and how absurdly deadly it can get in PvP or High-Spawn Rate events. Because the bug is expected to be patched, Frozen Turtle Shell can be a backup, because when you're lower than 100 health, you gain the Frost Turtle buff, which is a great tool for realizing when ♥♥♥♥ is about to hit the fan. Black Belt and Master Ninja Gear is there to help you dogde enemies and projectiles when they become a serious issue due to your low defense.
Aeromancer
Armor:
- Hallowed Mask
- Hallowed Breastplate
- Hallowed Greaves
Accessories:- Quick Fart in a Balloon/Sorcerer Emblem
- Quick Bundle of Balloons/Wings/Destroyer Emblem
- Quick Master Ninja Gear/Bundle of Balloons/Wings/Sorcerer Emblem/Destroyer Emblem
- Quick Lightning/Frostspark Boots
- Quick Mana Cuffs/Mana Flower
A Pure gimmick set with some utility in PvP. The reason why Hallowed Mask must be used is that you gain more speed with the Hallowed Mask as opposed to using the Hallowed Headgear. There is a lot of options in this set; Whether you want to be a full on distraction and hard to hit, or have a lot of agility but still be able to decimate is all up to you. PvPers, even those with Platinum Coin Guns, will have trouble attempting to hit you. To be more theme-matic, Nimbus Rod is recommended, but any mana weapon can be used really.Awesome! That is more than what I'm expecting for! Good job
Here is your melon
The armor is spectre and my accessories are Celestial Emblem (gives increased mana star pickup and 15% more magic damage), Mana flower, Master Ninja Gear, wings/hoverboard and I have the ankh shield for the knockback resistance, but you can go with the obsidian or cobalt shield and it will still be fine. Otherwise if you are good at dodging you could replace the shield with something you like more. Up to you.
They must've looked at a post history or something, but anyways;
Biggest necro? Biggest one for me atleast truely.
