How do I get the Steampunker?

Hey guys! I know there is probably a guide that tells me this, but I didn't feel like digging through all of them. Can someone tell me how to get the Steampunker to move in? If you could, it would be much appreciated.

All you need is to beat at least one mechanical boss (Destroyer, the Twins or Skeletron Prime) and have a valid home for her.

Oh yeah, you need to have beaten the Wall of Flesh in order to summon a mechanical boss.

Actually you don't need to have beaten Wall of Flesh to summon them but that requires getting the summon items from another world making it possible to get steampunker in a non hardmode world

I've never tried that, I always thought it had to be a hardmode world to summon the hardmode bosses.

If you beat a mechanical boss in a non-hardmode world does it still spawn plantera bulbs?

no it wont because your world has to be in hardmode for that

So will the Steampunker turn up if you beat a mechanical boss in a non-hardmode world? At a guess I'd say no.

Her only requirement is one dead robot boss. Doesnt matter what stage your world is at. The Plantera Bulbs have 2 requirements, Hardmode and a dead robot boss

Anyway, for getting those hardmode-required people, I would NOT summon a hardmode boss in a normal world. Might make your save corrupt (in a fashion). I did something of the sort and had to delete the world because NPCs died for good.
