Is dynamite/explosives EVER an efficient boss strategy?

Is it really worth the money and/or time? What if you make a bomb-proof arena? I was reading the wiki and it says dynamite has (fairly) good dps, and I thought it might be a good last resort for some bosses (Golem, Pumpking, etc) but I don't want to destroy the world or my wallet.

Well... dynamite is great for dps, but hard to use, I'd suggest practicing with it on minor bosses, or just regular enemies.

Wings. Or a rope. Explosives don't have this problem, but take more setup.

hmm it would be good but you would need spomething impossible to blow up and about 5 layers of it
also you wouldnt be able to fight plantera etc as it would need to be in a jungle.

Dynamite is wonderful for the WoF. I built a hell bridge using dungeon brick, and just threw dynamite at the WoF all day long. Took him 3 Minutes to die... Lol

Landmines do work, but you have to place them then wait for them to prime.

IMO Proximity Mine Launcher and Rocket Launcher with Rocket IIIs are your friend. You can get some crazy damage output, and Rocket IIIs Don't harm the enviroment.

Eater and Destroyer, maybe, if their body was following a path close enough to a surface the explosive could land on... and not ruin it by blowing up. Or Golem, you could supplement normal attacking with explosives.

Explosive stuff doesn't work in a way you'd want to use on bosses though, unless just to say you did it.

I don't know why the Minishark is so recommended, To be frank, it doesn't do nearly enough DPS. Infact, I used a minishark the first time, with Every type of bullet imaginable, and it took around 10 Minutes for the thing to even have a dent in its health... Although, if I'm wrong about the DPS, someone correct me... Perhaps a weapon like the Phoenix Blaster would be better?

Minishark/Megashark/SDMG does very little damage and very expensive, but has that percentage to not consume ammo and it's good if you are bad at aiming something that does large damage but slow.

Used bombs against the Goblin Army. Thought of a new sport: Goblin Bowling!
Was so fun rolling bombs into crowds of Goblins and them all blowing up due to the bomb in their midst.
