Pumpkin Moon

I'm a melee/tank character and I did my first pumpkin moon today. I made it to round 8. What round do I have to get to in order to get these items to drop? Because I didn't get any of them.

Horseman's Blade
Black Fairy Dust
Stake Launcher
Spooky Twig
Spooky Hook

(No, I didn't use traps or any kind of good arena setup. No, I don't know how to make a good melee/tank arena for the pumpkin moon.)

they are random drops from the mobs , if you want more info go to the wikia for it and see what specifically drops it

I want to know if there's any chance for it to drop before round 9 or even the first time I kill the bosses.

There's a VERY low chance of them dropping each time you kill one of the monsters that drop them, but the chance increases the farther into the event you go. By the time you reach wave 15 (final wave) there's a 100% chance of any one of those items dropping when you kill one of the bosses.

Were you wearing Turtle Armor? It's a great armor set if you're playing as a melee-tank.

I have the stake launcher if you have a server Ill just give it to you. I dont use it =p. I would also like to beat the pumkin moon and have a few of the items to spawn it. Since youre a tank I can go healer and we could give it a shot. Im cool about item drops so if 2 items drop and both of us want it Im willing to take the one you desire less =p. Add me if you want the help

I believe its 3 turtle shells and a total of 54 chlorophyte bars for the whole set. The turtle shells are a rare drop from turtles. I think I have 1 or 2 extra if you have a server.

those are the things you really want to get and get shroomite for em also i would farm frost moon for chain gun and north pole

Hmm. I was using a caster setup for Pumpkin Moon (melee setup is comparatively a little sucky at that point in progression), so I really wouldn't know what wave it's normal to reach with a melee setup.

But yes, you can get those items in any wave, and like others said, the odds of getting them increase as the wave number increases.

Once you get the North Pole, though... man, you're going to enjoy a melee setup then! When I do Pumpkin Moon with it, I get 70+ trophies and 5+ of every item in the event. Black Fairy Dust? I think I got 9 of them last time I tried. Takes forever to sell everything at the end.

these moons though pumpkin made ranger op then frost makes mage and melee op they balanced it nicely

I got the items I wanted from a friend, except the stake launcher. I do have a server. :) I want to try it solo again, but with traps like in this video. It looks very good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIcDI-Rd1mk
