Having Trouble Finding Orange Bloodroot, any Suggestions?
Maybe just dig a hole in my backyard and see what grows? XD

I've been having a lot of issues with finding those bloody (no pun intended) things as well, but after going through various of forums and looking for them myself...

Basically, orange bloodroot grows underground, hanging from blocks of dirt. Although their rarity colour is "common" they're actually "uncommon", so go figure. You can also spot them on your map, so when you go roaming around the underground, check the map ever so often. The root appears as a red block, its shade being somewhat darker from crimson, so that helps!
I also noted that having Cursed Sapling and Wisp helps you somewhat, too, especially the former. The Frost Hydra is pretty helpful too, as it helps you to make your map wider when you just spawn it around you. It can be tedious, but this way, I've found those roots a lot easier than before.

I'm sorry for this being so late to answer. :(

I usually find Bloodroot more often when I am in the Underworld or close to it. They dangle from the undersides of blocks, which is not typical for crafting ingredients, so they may be easy to miss.

You may want to try using a Spelunker Potion. I it will make harbs/plants easy to see. however i'm 100% shere if it will spot Bloodroots. but my be worth the shot.

Id suggest you just go spelunky and dont try too hard to find it. Basically all those dyes are collected on the run like optional. You will be happy to find one, but dont try too hard or you will go insane. Those plants etc are random so all you can really do is explore and run around and hope for the best. But going out only to find bloodroot is not good idea and bound to frustrate. Try to look out for several things and collect em while you have fun exploring and digging.
Other option would be trading with friends you trust and whom earned the items legit.
It can be fun to trade one color of dye vs other with your friends for example!
Good luck on the search.

If you can firguare out how it spawns you can make a farm for it (I'm not 100% sure about it). You just need to check your farm every now and then to see if anything has appeared. Due to it's rareness I'd go with a huge area just to be sure. If all else fails at least you can farm blinkroots there.

One thing to keep in mind is that even though Bloodroot does spawn randomly, once it does spawn somewhere, it will stay there until you pick it up or remove it. So if you happen to see one and then die before picking it up - or exit and re-enter the game - it will still be there. It's not like the Bloodroot will vanish if you don't pick it up at that moment.
