The Blizzard Staff's DPS is garbage

when compared to the North Pole's.

I'd always assumed I couldn't do anything without Spectre healing, so I've been using magic only.

Good thing I tested the North Pole, because it changed my views completely. Thanks to the much, much, much higher DPS (it's by far the strongest weapon in the game, easily two or three times stronger than the Blizzard Staff), bosses die so quickly they drop more health than they do damage.

It's also given me a much better opinion of shields. Knockback immunity lets you keep doing max DPS and get all those health pick-ups on the ground without issue when you want them.

One shot at the Pumpkin Moon, no buffs, and I got 70 trophies plus a stupid amount of loot that required several trips to vendor. I think I made like 10 platinum pieces in that one go.

One shot at the Frost Moon, no buffs, and I made it to Wave 15 with relative ease, sadly the night ended shortly after and I could only get one trophy. Bet I could do much better with some buffs, experience and effort.

I'm also thinking of switching from Turtle Armor to Hallowed or Chlorophyte. Faster you kill bosses faster you get health, so I expect my survivability wouldn't drop, and obviously the faster you kill the faster you also progress in the event Waves.

Additional info:

1. I haven't tested it, but apparently the best modifier for this is Godly. It seems Spear-type weapons don't get up to Legendary. Hopefully this information is accurate because I haven't tried for Legendary. Sometimes the wiki is wrong, which leads me to the 2nd piece of info:

2. The wiki says the Blizzard Staff has the highest single-target DPS in the game. This is only true for the first few seconds. After that, again, the North Pole makes it look like trash. Highly misleading comment.
