snow globe not dropping?!

i dunno, in a guide i read, they said you should get a snow globe 7% of the time. i just opened 400 presents and got

2985 green candy cane blocks
3562 red candy cane blocks
1898 pine tree blocks
13 gingerbread cookie
8 christmas pudding
9 sugar cookie
43 egg nog
6 hand warmers
3 mrs claus sets
8 tree costumes
1 kill kenny costume
23 holly wreaths
2 red ryder bb guns
1 candy cane sword
1 candy cane pickaxe
12 reindeer horns
3 snow hats
5 ugly sweaters
415 star anise shurikens

and
0 snow globes

thats right, in all this i didn't get 1 single snow globe, what am i doing wrong?

Before the update, there were only three things you could get in presents (red blocks, green blocks, globes), so you got globes all the time. If the statistics take the old numbers into account, they may be skewed.

Still, I've opened a lot of presents after the update and I still got lots of Globes. When I open a batch of about 40 presents, I usually get around three Globes, so 7% doesn't sound wrong to me.

I guess it's possible that you simply got very unlucky, yes...

That's usually the way it goes, yes. There's a bell curve, there's people stuck at both ends, and if you have to ask why you're not seeing average numbers, you're probably one of them.

But yes, you *are* in Hardmode, right? If you know its exact drop rate you most likely know this already, but the invasion is a Hardmode-level event and they didn't want newbies getting massacred by an army of snowmen, so the Globe doesn't drop before Hardmode.

1 i AM in hardmode, i killed every boss. i have 450 hours played...i ought to be in hardmode.

2. and i dunno what up, but i just opened 30 more presents and got 4 globes.
