Moonlord
Is the Moonlord still the final boss of the game? I know they've added a crap ton since I played years ago, but I know that the Moonlord can still be pretty difficult to take on, and I only have one other person with me, so I fear how much harder the game might get.

moonlord is still the final boss, not sure I understand what you mean about the game getting harder but you 2 should be able to beat the game, unless you're on master mode then you'll need to actually try during boss fights and do enough prep

Interesting. I know the game has gotten so much more content, so I wasn't sure if there was more or not. The harder part is just a lack in confidence in me, and the amount of things I have forgotten about since then. Like, when you have to take out the pillars to summon the Moonlord, it wasn't uncommon for us to get whooped by the mobs. Back in the day, I had 2 friends I was playing with, and no matter what we tried, Moonlord felt impossible. It actually took one of them cheating in order to win. (Which I actually didn't know about until years later. Back then, they said they were bugged or something, so I thought it was funny.) My anxiety just gets me, though. We struggled back then, so I'm not exactly confident with even less manpower.

bosses' health increases for each additional player in the world. but if you play the game on casual you can get through the game almost stress free, although you'd be missing out on extra loot; the pillars and late game bosses like moonlord whoop me too, even though i've fought them all so many times now, but for me its just a matter of fighting the boss enough times to either get lucky or get accustom to his attacks. I remember when I first got to moonlord yearsss ago I was too overwhelmed and ended up cheesing the boss rather than actually fighting and learning its attacks.
but anyway, like you said, there is alot more content so it should be better. cant forget about new accessories that can help as well

Yeah. I'm hoping that we can get through it okay. Even if it takes us a few tries. Is there any tips you could possibly give for us, before we attempt any kind of fight?

well, what I always do now it follow up on the wiki to make sure I got the best weapons, armor and accessories available to me, knowing what class you're playing and gearing up accordingly is a must(cant forget potion either).
and for me, when I play multiplayer, I do kinda like a tag team on certain bosses that are difficult, I'd place the nurse on the edge of the arena and if one of us gets too low on hp, hopfully the boss changes aggro to the other player so you can go and heal real quick with the nurse. having a bed there too can help when you die you can respawn and get full hp quick and still have a healing potion available. that is how I killed moonlord with a duo

They added a "final seed" where they rebalance a bunch of things. This final seed is a new difficulty called Legendary, which you create as a master mode with a special seed phrase. A tip for beating it is to go full menancing and get a wolf pet.

Currently, I've got an arena built above our home, with a bunch of platforms and such, plenty of space, and a teleporter to quickly get back to the arena, and a magic mirror for returning home for heals, if it comes to such. We've been doing a bunch of grinding, though I am unsure what weapons to go for, or where to get them from. I looked up one earlier, which we can make with fragments, so maybe that'll help, If there's anything else I'm forgetting, I am unsure, because it has been years since I played. I'm pretty sure we played the game sometime in... 2015? It was a long time ago.

yeah the pillar weapons should be enough to take on moonlord, and if you have the buff potions and accessories fit for your class you should be good, just be sure to put all your coins into reforging all your accessories n best weapon(s)

I heard others recommend stuff like Heart Statues and such. We haven't really collected much statues; I kind of thought they were just cosmetic. I was unaware some had effects.

i completely forgot to mention those arena buffs... you should definitely put those type of things in your arena. the heart statue, heart lantern, campfires, bastion statues if you havent already.

What does each of those do, and how do I make them work, because the wiki is so vague on the statue, at least. (Campfires are obvious, though.)

the heart statue needs to be connected to a 1 second timer via wire, when you activate the timer the statue drops a heart every couple seconds that heals 20 hp to who ever picks it up (one drops every 15 seconds or so). the heart lanturn increases your health regen like the campfire, aand the bastion statue increases you defense by 5. if you were to put dip you character in honey you'll also get more health regeneration
all the statues give the buffs as long as you're close enough to said statue

Sounds nice, actually. Where do you find, or how do you make the Lantern? And I'm assuming the Bastion is something you find. I'd have to look up what it looks like.

Just letting you know it's called the Bast Statue, not the Bastion statue. Bast was an Egyptian goddess of protection.

Good to know. I'll keep it in mind when I look for it. I'll have to let my friend know, too.
